A full-time veteran DJ with 18 years experience and diverse musical background... Vinnie started out as a drummer / singer before delving into the DJ arena, his ear for music has earned him the reputation as one of the best Karaoke DJ's in California and is often referred to as the pro's pro.

What turns Vinnie on? "When I see that big smile at the end of the song and the singer knows they sounded their very best, that's what does it for me!" Born a Preacher's son, Larry started out singing in his father’s church when he was 5. Does that sound like a familiar tune? Yea! You guessed it he is an Avent too! Later he sang in the Navy choir and in bands. He likes any kind of music as long as it's old and can sing almost any thing. Larry puts his own flair into his music and really loves being a Karaoke DJ. He believes,

Robert just started as a DJ but has been singing in bars ever since he turned 21. He sings mainly rock but will throw in some country.

" I love going to my shows and hearing people sing and try their hardest. My shows are fast pace with good music, so come to one of my shows and have a fun relaxed night "

Young, energetic, vivacious and soulful. Thomas has made a name for himself working for Avent's Empty Band as a DJ.

Thomas invites everyone to come out and show off their skills! "Singing makes everyone Happy!" It doesn't matter if you like soul, R&B, or oldies... just come out, have a drink or two and sing for your soul!

Doug "The Rocker" started out as a karaoke singer at Avent's shows and loved it so much he became a part-time karaoke DJ for Avent's 9 years ago...

Doug believes you should sing what you love and just have fun with it. He likes to see all the singers and listeners enjoying themselves.

So come out to a show, cut loose and have some fun with Doug, feel free to rock out!

Dan started singing in the high school and the Army choir and later with a country band, Sidestep. He can sing almost anything, but is partial to heavy metal, especially AC/DC.

What Dan likes the most about being a Karaoke DJ is having fun and meeting new people. He makes every show a party with great lighting, great music and great people.

So if you want to to have some fun, come sing with " Dan the Man ".

John Avent - Leader of the Band - "Karaokeman"

Born a Preacher's son, John started out singing in his father’s church as a very small child. "Singing in Church is like karaoke, the words come up on screens or you read them from your hymn book, just like karaoke, right?"

John picked up on the Karaoke phenomenon back in the late 80's, when the music was still on laser disks, he has been hooked ever since...so hooked that by the mid 1990's he founded Avent's Empty Band. John became "Karaokeman" at The Office Bar in Sunnyvale, Ca. Since then Avent's Empty Band has hosted more shows in the San Francisco bay area than any other karaoke company to date!
